5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Fantastic stroller, for what it is!, This review is from: Ulti-Mite Twin Umbrella Stroller (Baby Product) I need this mostly for airline travel and outing where my giant double jogger wouldn't work as well. I have not used it on a trip yet, but so far I love it. It is almost identical to The First Years Jet single umbrella stroller that I also own and love. It folds and unfolds easily. The folding locks are a little bit difficult because the whole stroller needs pressure applied on top to get the locks to reach and latch. There are two folding locks on each side and a convenient carry strap. My toddler and infant both fit great. The handles are taller than many umbrella strollers. The wheels are also a little bigger than many cheaper umbrella strollers. The canopy is sufficient for this type of stroller The two parent consoles and two baskets are great for storing small items. The fabric isn't the most high quality, but substantial enough that I don't worry about it tearing from moderate use. The "recline" isn't much, but better than not having it at all. I purchased this stroller from... I was looking for a light weight stroller for my twins. I wanted something easy and quick and this is it.I don't know about the one hand collapse they mention in the description but it's really easy to fold up and open. It has great ventilation since the canopy isn't connected to the stroller. You definitely need to use the small velcro straps to keep the the canopy on but it's not hard to wrap them around the poles. There isn't much sun protection since they don't adjust. For me, this is the biggest negative. There is a small flap that pops out from under the top but it doesn't do much good unless you are stationary and sitting in the perfect position. The handles are kind of wide and can become a little awkward if you're on a long walk. There is a middle handle but using this and an outside handle is also awkward since they are close together. That being... It seemed as though my 4 year old would throw too many fits and I just couldn't take it anymore. This stroller serves a good purpose..it is very light, compact and does not take up lots of space in my trunk which is great ( my single stroller is bulky, heavy and takes up all the space in my trunk). It can get it little tough to maneuver through a standard door but I always manage to get it in and this is probably true of most side by side strollers. Unfortunately it has very little space to store things but it's the price you pay for it being so compact. The only bad part of it is that the wheel fell off however I let the manufacturer know and he immediately wrote to ask what wheel it was...now I just have to answer and hopefully get it back soon. I only give 3 stars because I was not too crazy about almost losing a wheel after 30 days of use. |
