Strollers over this weight have to be checked with luggage and damage is normally not covered unless it's in the original shipping box - for all purposes, making other double strollers a nightmare to use when flying.The stroller is mom-designed which might account for its low price, super light weight, compact 40" x 7" x 10" fold, and larger than average width - 36" x 36" x 42" opened. In all, it makes for a good travel and errand stroller, keeping in mind that it may not go through many doors, fit between parked cars, or go through the check out lane at your grocery store (most doubles are 31" wide or less). My guess is that they get away with it because it is a double, and double umbrella strollers are hard to come by. It is nice, easy to fold up and open and lightweight. I use this stroller more frequently than my double jogger. However, this stroller is NOT god for grassy areas nor rocky/bumpy terrain. That being said, this is great for quick trips to the store. Although, we all know that nothing is "quick" with twins! :) |
